Our Texas house is on the market
Well, it has officially been one month since we packed up and headed to Arkansas. It seems like we have been here longer than that, but not because we are not loving it, but because we are settling in and enjoying it. I am so thankful that we prayed about coming on up and being with Jason. It was definitely the right thing to do. We are all together, and that is the most important part. Jason loves his job and it is so much fun seeing him come in with a smile and know that he is continuing to do what he loves. This refuge is huge and has lots going on, and it is keeping him busy. Crawford has a wonderful teacher and is loving his school. It is a change for sure, but not as bad as I had feared. He is really enjoying dressing himself every morning. He still misses his friends at Trinity and has face timed with a few of them, but we have been blessed with new friends here. He has already been to a sleepover and went bowling and to a movie with friends from his baseball team. Baseball is going wonderfully, another great move on our part (getting him here for the season). He is on a wonderful team with amazing coaches that have high hopes for him. He is playing short stop and is currently the lead off hitter. Lots of friends are being made and Jason is getting to help on the field during games and practices, so it has been a blessing. Cash and I spend our days "playing"school. We are building towers and counting the blocks, and singing songs and just having fun. I am cherishing these little moments with him before I head back to work (hopefully) in the fall. I will be taking three tests over the next couple of weeks to get my certificate here. I am so ready to head back to the classroom, wherever that may be. I miss teaching. We have been going to the closest Catholic Church we could find. It is in Stuttgart, and is about an hours drive one way. We haven't gotten into the KoC yet, but will when Jason gets a free moment. Crawford will be beginning first communion classes in the fall, so we are excited to have found a church we can get to for that. My parents got to come for a visit, and hopefully this summer, Jason's will be able to make it. We are learning the ropes and ins and outs of the small town life again, and in this town, everyone knows everyone. We are still house shopping, but are on hold as we (impatiently) wait on our house in Texas to sale. Prayers are being answered daily, so I know it will sale. We are still in the bunkhouse, but it doesn't seem to bother any of us (with the exception of not having our dogs with us). We are thankful to my parents for keeping our fur babies while we wait on a house, and will owe them greatly when all of this is over. I am so excited to see what our future holds here.
