First Day and then Some

Celebrating in Little Rock after some school clothes shopping
 watching Big Bubba practice baseball

  1.  Our new morning commutes to Crawford's school have consisted of lots of tractors in the roads... we are in rice country

Cash is a little lost with Bubba at school, but is enjoying a little one on one with mama

After much prayer, a little weeping (by mom) and lots of anticipation, Crawford started at De Witt Elementary on Monday. We were met with smiles by everyone, lots of precious kiddos, and a wonderful new teacher. Crawford bebopped right on down the hall to his new class with not even a look back at dear ol mom and dad. We met with the teacher and she is wonderful. I am so thankful that God has answered our prayers in that department as we were so spoiled with Trinity. Today, he forgot his story for homework and was freaking out. I lectured him on being responsible and he said "mommy, I never had to when you were at school with me."GUILTY...I had a habit of grabbing his stuff on our way out if I knew he had forgotten it. They will be testing next week, but he's a pro at that. He is really enjoying his baseball team and we are really enjoying the coaches. They are all about practicing and making sure each kid is cheered on. The kids get patches for their uniforms for different things and of course any competition gets Crawford going. (Not sure where that comes from..hahaha). They do attend school on Good Friday (boo), and will have an Easter party this week, so he is excited about that. On another note, the house officially goes on the market tomorrow, so prayers for a quick and painless buy so that we may get the show on the road here. We are enjoying our time together in the bunk house, but we all miss our "things"that didn't come with us, especially our four legged ones!! One more prayer request is that I can get all of my teaching things figured out so that I may teach in the fall. There are few openings and I would really love to be back in the classroom as soon as possible. Until next time, blessing from the Roesner's.

We Made It!!

\
Moving truck was heading out and the boys were wondering where all of there things were heading (by the way, they went to Memphis, we did not!)
Grocery shopping was a must...and there is this gem of a store in town!!
After so much rain lately, we were happy to see the sun shining the first day we got to town
Our bunk room until we find a house...yes, it is cozy
What little I brought with us came in totes and are in the process of getting them unpacked
We took a break to play some baseball, Crawford had his first practice last night
We are currently staying in St. Charles, where there was part of the Civil War battle fought. This is the monument in the middle of the road in "downtown"St. Charles.

More sunny weather and inch worm riding
playing under the giant Magnolia tree

Another sunny day, sitting and watching Crawford ride his scooter around

Well,  it is official, moving truck was packed and loaded and headed to Memphis and Jason, the boys and I arrived in St. Charles, Arkansas for our new adventure on Sunday afternoon. We have gotten some rest,  have most things unpacked, already had a baseball practice with Crawford's new team and now have a PO Box for Arkansas. Whew, it's only Wednesday. De Witt, the school Crawford will be attending, is on Spring Break, so Crawford is off this week. We have been busy researching and looking for houses and will continue the process until we find something. The only hitch in our giddy up at this time is that we still have our house in Marshall, We are waiting (impatiently) for it to sale so we can get one here. Right now, we are"bunking it." I would say it is terrible, except it's not...yet. We have to share a room to sleep, but we spend lots of time outside and in the common rooms, so it is really not that bad! Our fish made the trip, and somehow are still surviving after five hours in a zip-lock container in the cup-holder of the truck. So, as of now, our adventure is off to a wonderful start.  Jason is learning the ropes after being here for a couple of weeks, and he is loving it. The kids are surviving with only a couple of tv channels and ipads, and I survived the Piggly Wiggly. O, bonus...there is a Mexican Restaurant in De Witt and we have of course already tried it out. So, stand by for our adventure updates. I will try to share them on here as much as possible!!

The morning after the  snow

Last weekend, we thought we were travelling to see off Jason for three weeks until our big move date...little did we know old man winter had different plans!! We were snowed (yes, snowed) in for the week. We went on Saturday to get Jason settled in the bunkhouse we will be calling home until we find a house, and were going to head back home on Monday morning. Well, Mr. Jack Frost himself dropped off a nice blanket of ice and snow from Dallas to who knows where (I just know it made it to Arkansas where we were). We thought maybe we would get out Tuesday, but there was still lots of slush and ice on the road, so we hunkered down for the storm that was due to hit that night. Wednesday we woke up to a very cold morning, and by lunch, it was snowing. Gorgeous, big snowflakes. Good thing was, Texas was getting it also. This of course made me feel better. So, for Wednesday, we played in the snow and stayed in. We finally got a decent window to come back to Texas on Thursday just in time for Crawford to be in his play at school!!! It was fun and pretty, but I am ready for spring!!
