Tuesday's With Crawford #9

Sorry to report...no new pictures right now because our house is a disaster area. As most of you probably know, and if you don't, I'm gonna tell you...our hot water heater busted Tuesday night filling our house with an inch of HOT WATER up and down our hall, in Crawford's bathroom, in the entryway, into the kitchen, in the linen closet in the hall, and some into Crawford's room. Thank God we were home because we got a head start in mopping it up. So for all day yesterday, we were with the insurance agent, the rainbow clean up man, and the claims adjuster. Did I mention we have wood floors?!? So, the rainbow man (they clean up after fire and flood damage) said it was a good thing we caught it, he didnt detect water through the whole house. The claims adjuster said if we do have to get the floor replaced we will more than likely have to replace the ENTIRE floor of the house. UGH! This has all been a huge mess and I am just thankful that we have insurance that should take care of everything and a home owners warranty that is going to replace the hot water heater. So, when life settles down a little, I will be back with pictures and fun stories of Crawford's life.

Tuesday's with Crawford #8

This Tuesday with Crawford, Jason is out of town at a training and I am playing momma, daddy, substitute teacher, receptioninst, maid...etc, etc, etc! Hopefully, though, this is the last time Jason has training for a while. April for us is a busy birthday month. This past week, we drove to Tyler for a quick dinner with some of the April babies. We met Lolly, Grumps, Uncle JJ, Aunt Holly, Ellie, Asher and Brooks at Shoguns. If you have never been to Shoguns--GO! It is a Japanese steakhouse where they cook in front of you. It was Lolly's, Uncle JJ's, and Ellie's birthday along with Lolly and Grumps' 31st wedding anniversary. Crawford hasn't been to one of these places since he was little, so I was anxious to see what he would do. Our chef was awesome, even remembered Asher from last year when he had his mohawk. The boys were kind of scared of the man with the knives, but they did pretty good with the chopsticks. It was lots of fun and the first time we have been together since Christmas because of Daddy always being away at work. So, it was a nice celebration. We still owe Grammy for her birthday and her's and Poppy's anniversary is this month also. Hope you are all having a great week.

Poppy's Pickles

This is one of my favorite pictures from Easter Weekend. Last year, Poppy and Grammy had a great yield in the garden and with that came pickles, salsa, and lots of good veggies. Crawford is a pickle condesuier if you can imagine. He likes the big ones that you can get at Sam's in the plastic jars that last forever and ever. If we go to any kind of sporting event, he must have a pickle. So, when we were making sandwiches for our lunch at Poppy and Grammy's house, of course he thought he wanted to jump off into eating one. Well, I have had Poppy's pickles, so I knew what was coming. I grabbed my camera and got the above reaction. It was too funny. He loved them though, I think he ended up eating 3 or so of them. Hear's hoping Poppy's garden has another successful year.

Easter 2010

Easter this year was at the Roesner's house in Magnolia. Lots of food, family and fun. Crawford enjoyed playing with all of his cousin's; hunting Easter eggs, playing football, swinging on the swingset, and his favorite of all was dying Easter eggs. Crawford got to get ice cream from the ice cream truck that came down the street. He picked a spider man ice cream bar. He set through Mass for the most part Easter Sunday and then he got to run free as soon as we got back to the Roesner's and didnt stop for anything. It was lots of fun and he is still an attention stealer. We hope you all had a great Easter also!!!
