Chef Crawford and Grammy cooking Pancakes

This past weekend, Crawford, Suzee and I loaded up and headed to the Roesner's in Magnolia for a pumpkin carving party and trip to the pumpkin patch. Crawford was very excited to see Grammy and Poppy and got to play until late while Mommy got a little pampering from a Mary Kay party. Saturday morning, Crawford got to help make pancakes with Grammy, wearing his apron and his chefs hat. His favorite part is breaking the eggs, he would giggle with excitement as he crushed them in his hands. I don't think we had any shells in the pancakes, at least not the ones I ate. Then we headed to pick up great Granny and to meet Trevor, Kayla, and Chad at the Old Town Christmas Tree Farm/Pumpkin Patch. The boys played in the pumpkins, well Trevor played, Crawford was being a bit of a little stinker. We did, after two rounds of waiting, get to ride the Hayride. (That is a whole other story, right Poppy??) Then we took Suzee for her shots, where we were almost arrested because Grammy put the wrong code in at the clinic. Whew, thank goodness Crawford, Granny, and Poppy were out in the van waiting when the cops came up. Too funny huh?!? After all of that excitement, it was time for the pumpkin carving party where there were lots of fun people and things happening. Uncle Daniel carved two really cool pumkins, I made a mess of mine, Crawford only liked helping clean the pumpkin out, and Payton and Ashlyn came to visit. It was lots of fun, yet very tiring. If only we could move Magnolia and Karnack closer together!!

Homecoming/Birthday Weekend '09

This past weekend was my birthday and Homecoming/Oil Festival in Van. It was full of fun times, of course, just missing my Jason man! Crawford was so excited for the football game and wearing his garter that mom bought for him and Asher and Brooks. He got to wear a Vandal tattoo all weekend (he would not let me wash it off). The game was tight until the end and the Vandals pulled off a victory..woohoo!! Saturday, we started off the day with the Oil Festival at the city park where Crawford got a baseball cupcake and Lolly got a carrot cake. Then we headed to get ready for our big bonfire at mom and dad's house. They asked me what I wanted for my birthday, and I told them all I wanted was a grilled steak and family. So, that is what I got. Daddy and mom built a bonfire and Bubba, Holly, Ellie, Asher, Brook, Robby and Garebear came over. It was lots of fun. There were smores involved, so it was actually comical. We had a great time. Thanks to all of you guys that wished me a happy bday! Sunday we had dinner with Mammy Jo, Papa Pete and Uncle Steve to wrap up the bday weekend! All in all, it was great!

Crawford the Pirate at the Pirate's Festival in Granbury
This past weekend, Crawford and I loaded up with mom, dad and Abel and headed North to Granbury, TX for a weekend of fun with the family. It was my Mammy Jo's family reunion. Her older brothers and her come together for this every year. It is always a great time filled with many memories. Last time we went, Crawford was 6 months old, so this year was alot of fun. He had everyone wrapped around his little finger. We went to a pirate fest where he got to dig in buried treasure, well Lolly and Mammy Jo dug, Crawford laughed at them and I took the pictures. We did a little shopping and a lot of eating. Of course, you have to eat!! It was lots of fun and I cant wait for the next one. I got to see lots of family members I have not seen in years, if ever. Mammy Jo's brothers are awesome and lots of fun to be around and love to tell stories of the days when they were younger. It is lots of fun. My dads cousins come and they too have a good time telling stories and catching up on grandbabies and future grandbabies and dogs and granddogs and all that. It was a great weekend despite cruddy weather and we cant wait to do it again.

Saturday with the Cousins

Saturday, Crawford and I had a play date with my mom (Lolly) and the Hawkins kiddos (Ellie, Asher, and Baby Brooks). We started out our day going to watch my friend Christy's kids play a game of soccer (Elizabeth and Jon). They played awesome, little Elizabeth is a soccer machine. She ran the field. Then we were off to the Hawkins house for some fun. We played every sport there is, watched a sad game of Aggie Football (dont say a word Sherry or Mark!!), and ate pizza and mexican food. The day was beautiful and we spent most of it outside. Ellie, Asher and Crawford hit a bucket of balls of the tee, and then Lolly and I retreived them. The boys played in the dirt, greass, mud, and anything else that would get them dirty. They climbed in Ellie's old Barbie Jeep which they later filled with leaves and sticks and rocks. Ellie and Asher danced for us to thriller. It was hilarious. The boys played trains and cars and bounced on the horse ball and bugged Ellie. It was a great day of cousin fun!! But darn it, I forgot my camera, so I will not be able to put pictures up until I get some off of moms.
