Week 37...come on Christmas!!

Yep, there is a baby in there. A very sweet bundle of boy that I can't wait to meet! We saw Dr. Paul on Monday and he is sure that Cash won't be here before Christmas. DARN! But, we have a set surgery date at the hospital of January 4th, 2012 at 7:30 am. (Dr. Paul says he will be out and in my arms by 7:15 am). So, looks like we are going to have a New Year's baby. Woohoo! Jason and Cman are both excited as well. C keeps asking when he gets to go pick up Cash. He wants him for Christmas. (He thinks!!) But, we are going to enjoy our last three weeks with Crawford before Cash gets here to make us a family of four. Hope you are all having a wonderful week!!

Week 35....almost there...ahhhhhh!!!

This is one tired kid after a long two days camping during Thanksgiving break.

The weeks have flown by. Can you believe in less than four more weeks, our little bundle of boy Walter "Cash" Roesner will be here? I can't. And, the list of course goes on and on and on and on of things that I have to get done. First and foremost....Christmas shopping. AAGGGHHH!!! Week 35 entails Jason being in Austin for yet another training...yay Fish and Wildlife, way to plan a training before Christmas..., christmas carols at the hospital for school, practice for the big Christmas program, and loads of laundry and housework. Woo, made myself tired just typing that. Along with week 35 comes almost Christmas break...yay...but, week 36...another stressor. Jason and the Cman will both be gone for a wedding in Houston. So, if you are reading this and you check it often....please be on standby, because if I go into labor...I will be calling YOU!!! Health wise, I am doing great and so is Mr. Cash. He weighs about 4 lbs, and is about 19 inches long with huge feet. Thank God for C-Sections. The scheduled date at this moment is Jan. 4th, 2012, but we will let God and Cash decide if it is going to be another day. We had a great Thanksgiving (pics to come as soon as I get them loaded), even though Jason was in OK working a deer hunt. Cman got to camp for two days with Lolly and Grumps and I got to rest some. (ha ha). He was so tired when we left the lake, he was asleep before we hit the big road. All in all, everything is going great and we will keep you updated on the status of the new little one.

Louisiana State Fair

Which one is the clown?? Ha ha ha. Jason, Crawford and the Sheriff of the fair.
Crawford's first big boy ride. I couldn't even watch without wanting to puke.

Last week, we decided to take Cman to the fair in Shreveport for some special time before Mr. Cash gets here. I was weary at first to buy him the arm band that cost and arm and a leg but allowed unlimited riding because he had never been to one where he would know if he liked rides or not. So, off we headed into kiddie town to ride those rides. He got broken in by riding the motorcycles, trains, fire truck that goes up and down, and the carousel. After that, he decided he would be real brave and venture to the big rides that he was tall enough for. There were several where he was still too short and I probably wouldnt have let him on anyway, but there were some he got on that I can't ride or even watch without wanting to throw up. With his daddy by his side, they rode the tilt a whirl, a fast ride that goes in circles backwards and forwards to loud music (puked once growing up after getting off that one), and one that goes in and out, in and out really fast. It was so much fun watching his face and of course watching Jason hold on to him and the bar so he didn't fly out. We ate junk food (Cash was very excited), played games and they rode every ride he could ride, some twice. It was a great way to spend all our money and the night.

Family Pics at Starr Ranch

This past weekend, we had the opportunity to get our "pre Cash" family pictures taken down at Caddo Lake. We have a special "in" that got us down to the beautiful Starr Ranch house and access to Caddo Lake. Well, it's all on the refuge where Jason works, but it is still hardly open to the public, so we felt special. Kirbie did an awesome job and none of the colors are messed with, they are all the actual colors of Caddo right now. (BEAUTIFUL!!) Here are just a few until I get the disc to load them all. Hope you enjoy.

Kara

November thankfulness...

Day 1--Nov 1 (Tuesday)

I am thankful for a great God that is awesome and can do anything he wants with my life at any given time. I am thankful to be able to work at a school that I can worship him openly and with my kiddos in my class. I am thankful that he is kind and loving and has put me exactly where I am supposed to be in my life.

Day 2--Nov 2 (Wednesday)

I am thankful for my awesome family. I could not be where I am or who I am without them. I am the mother to the greatest little boy anyone could ever ask for with another one on the way. I am so excited that I get to experience the joys of our families together with the most awesome husband a girl could ask for.

29 Weeks and Counting!!

Cman for "Give Drugs the Boot Day" at school during drug free week.

Mommy and Cash 29 weeks...getting big!!!

Cash Man-28 weeks

I can't believe that we are already on week 29. WOW!! Baby Cash is growing leaps and bounds every day (which of course means I am too), but it is absolutely a blessing to constantly be reminded by him that he is in there. He is a crazy little wiggle worm and I think he will be a great snuggler once he gets here because he is currently breech and is snuggled against my uterine wall. Little stinker, yes he is!!! Crawford is really enjoying being able to feel him kick and move around, he even likes me to raise my shirt so he can watch. This weekend, we will be taking family/maternity pictures (Thanks Kirbie in advance). I can't wait to see them, because Kirbie is an awesome photographer. No, there will not be a bare belly at all, but trust me, you can see the baby bump. Dr. Paul said that since he will be a csection baby, that it is okay if he is breech, but as a mommy, I sure hope he decides to become a gymnast soon and flip his little hiney around.

On a Crawford note, this week is drug free week at school, and today, he got to be a cowboy, one of his favorite things in the world to dress as. And on Monday, we have bible dress up day at school, so he is going to be a bible character. Stay tuned to see that. And of course, Monday night is trick or treating where he decided to be batman the dark knight. And yes, there will be plenty of pictures.

27 Weeks

27 weeks Highlights

Well, I guess the biggest highlight is that no matter what, Baby Cash will be here in the next 13 weeks one way or the other. Downside to this, nursery still not ready, baby stuff still in the attic and a husband that works 24/7 becuase it is deer season and he has to get the bad guys as Crawford would say. But, I will get it done, well he will.

Baby Weight this week: 2.2 lbs

Baby Height: 15 in.

Trimester: last week of the 2nd

Biggest Development: Hearing is almost fully developed and baby Cash loves to hear his big brother talk. When Crawford talks, Cash kicks. I am sure that this is to show me the great relationship they will have when they are older, hopefully minus the kicks. :) His taste buds are also almost fully developed and guess what...he does NOT like spicy food. (We are in deep disagreement there!)

Next week is the 4d sonogram where we get to see him up close and personal. I can only hope he looks just like Cman, but I will take a dark haired baby boy that looks like his daddy also. Time is passing quickly and I am ready for Crawford to meet his baby brother.

See ya next week with new pictures. :)

25 Weeks....still growing!!!

Pregnancy Highlights Week 25:

Baby Size: 13.5 inches (the size of a rutabaga)

Baby Weight: 1.5 lbs.

Developments: Body parts are becoming more proportional to each other. Baby fat is also continuing to fill in the wrinkled skin.

Special things we did for week 25: Pop's Night Out at Trinity Episcopal School. Cman and his Daddy had a picnic on the floor of the gym with other "pops" from the school.

Monday, September 26th, we had a Dr's Appointment to check on Mr. Cash and I. All is looking good right now. He is right on schedule, even though he feels humongo!!! He is a mover and a shaker and loves music. He will start moving when the TV has a song on it and when we were at a wedding this past weekend, he bounced all night. My next dr's appointment is Monday for the glucose test. YUMMY--NOT!!! After that, an appointment on the 17th for our 3D sonogram. I can't wait to see that. I am so excited to see that little face again!!!

24 Weeks...equal...baby growing like crazy!!

24 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights for Week 24 (6 months)

Baby Stats: 12.5 Inches (an ear of corn)

Baby Weight: 1.25 lbs

Momma Weight: I dare ya to ask :)

Highlights of Development this Week: He can sense what is right side up or down. His respiratory system is also rapidly growing. He can hear all kinds of sounds. Crawford loves to talk to him, so I am glad he will know his brother's voice when he gets here.

Next Appt: Monday, September 26th. So, more of an update then.

Another Wedding Down...

The Peeples' Get Hitched!!! My boys...so handsome

C and Uncle Darrin

This year has been the year of weddings for our friends and families. Last weekend, our great friends Alyssa and Darrin got married. It was a beautiful wedding in a beautiful ballroom/reception place in Shreveport, LA called The Silver Lake Ballroom. Jason was an usher in the wedding. Darrin looked handsome and Alyssa was gorgeous!!! Welcome to the world of being married to a game warden Mrs. Darrin Peeples. Love yall!!!

C's Soccer Debut

GO BOWFINS!!!!

Crawford had his first soccer game this past Saturday and it was so exciting, I think I jumped up and down more than I was supposed to. (Sorry Cash!) Crawford scored six of his teams nine goals. (I'm not bragging, just stating facts!!) It was so much fun to watch him so excited about something. He was really having a great time running around and actually knew how to get in the group and get the ball. He was so excited, he didnt want to take his soccer clothes off when we got home. He stayed in his soccer clothes until I made him change. I can't wait until his next game to see him play again. (Hopefully, it wasn't a fluke!!) Until next time....GOOOOOOOOOO BOWFINS!!!

Week 22--over half way there!!

Week 22 Highlights:
Baby Size: 11 inches (spaghetti squash)
Baby Weight: 1 lb.
Baby Developments: Taste buds (which explains him kicking because of all the spicy food I eat!!)
Weight Gain: about 3 lbs. and gaining every day!!
Most special moment: Crawford laying his head on my belly and Cash kicking him to where he felt it.
Cravings: HOT, HOT, HOT!!

This weekend, we will be at another wedding for our good friends Darrin and Alyssa. Finding something to wear has been a disaster, but it will be fun. Cman's soccer games have been cancelled because of the smoke in the air from the fires. So, pictures from soccer will be delayed until they actually get to play!!

It's a......BOY!!!!!!!

So, with all of our crazy traveling and our back to school week last week, I forgot to share on here what baby Roesner number 2 is going to be. IT IS A BOY!!!! (Pics to come when I get them uploaded to a disc!!) We are so excited and so is Cman. He really thinks its going to be fun sharing his toys. We will see!!!
Baby Roesner's name will be: Walter "Cash" Roesner. (He will go by Cash!!) We are so excited to be welcoming him in a little less than four months. Look for more pics coming soon!!!

Ketchikan, AK August 2011

The view from the room we got to stay in. A very lucky little girl gets to wake up to this view every day.
Jason and I in front of the passageway through Ketchikan, AK.

My handsome hubby in his wedding attire. No, he didnt get to keep the hat on, but I liked it.

In front of the famous Ketchikan sign.

The GORGEOUS sunset we got to view. So pretty!!! God is amazing.

A couple of weeks ago, we got to attend a wedding and have a weeks vacation in Ketchikan, AK. LUCKY US!!! It was so beautiful and cool there. I missed my little man, but he had fun with Lolly and Grumps while we were there. Jason's good friend from college lives in Ketchikan and was getting married and Jason was the best man. We were honored to get to go and stay with them for a week. I have tons of pictures and only uploaded a few on here for now until I can edit the others to show the beauty of Ketchikan. Jason got to go crabbing one afternoon and that night, we had the same fresh crab he pulled out of the ocean that afternoon. Wahoo. We got to eat lots of seafood, well Jason did, and I ate what I am allowed to eat being pregnant. The wedding was gorgeous and the reception a blast. We had tons of fun and can't wait to go back. I will be adding more pictures of it soon.

I can't seem to locate the picture card to the camera, and as soon as I do, it will be on here!!! See ya soon with lots of pictures.

17 Weeks

This week marks week 17, man time is flying by with this one. We went to the doctor Monday and everything looked good. (Good enough for me to get to go to Alaska!!! YAY!!!) The baby is a wiggly little turkey who would show nothing but its hiney. So, we try again for the big reveal on the 17th. Next week, we leave for Alaska for a week, which is exciting but sad also for me. Cman is staying with my parents and I have NEVER been away from him. YIKES. Hope Asher is ready to play alot so that Cman is not to worried about mama being gone. He also got signed up for soccer this week. Yes, I will officially be a soccer mom. There is a tball league for the fall that we considered signing him up for, but we were afraid he would never play another sport again once he starts baseball.

17 Week Highlights:

Baby Size: Onion

Mama's size: -3 lbs. (all that sweating I did in College Station!!)

Baby Gender: Still unknown, gotta cute rump though. :)

Mama's Cravings: Coke...of course it is a limited intake, I promise

There probably wont be an update until two weeks since we will be in Alaska next week. YAY for cooler weather for the pregnant chick.

16 Weeks

Yes, I am a week late, but we were partying in College Station with Jason at Fire Training School. He took an emergency care attendant class and loved every moment of it, (well, except for the tests!!). He passed it and will take the national boards later this month.

Size of baby: Avacado (4.6 in)

Weight of baby: 3.5 oz

Big Developments: I can feel little flutters in my tummy. (mostly at night...uh oh!!)

Cravings: Shaved Ice Sno Cones. YUMMY!!!!

Picture Catch-Up from Different Things...

Here are some pictures from some of the little trips we have been taking throughout this summer. This one is from Lake Livingston with Jason's family. Crawford loves his Uncle Daniel and had a great time with him in his kayak. Uncle Daniel paddled him all over the place.
This picture is from Crawford doing what he loves best. Posing for the camera and playing baseball. Crawford lives to play baseball right now. He is having a blast this summer, with ball playing every night.

Another Lake Livingston picture. Crawford and Uncle Steve being boat captains. Uncle Steve even let Crawford drive.

Crawford getting ready to ride with Uncle Daniel in his kayak. That is Grammy in her sexy cover up.

This picture is from Memorial Day weekend with my family at Lake Hawkins. We went out on the boat for a little bit on the boat with Uncle Phil, Aunt Jan, KK, Carli, Grumps, Lolly and Daddy. We had lots of fun just cruising the lake. Crawford is really enjoying his summer on the lakes.

15 Weeks

This week marks week 15. Yay. We are cruising right along with this pregnancy. It seems like every week was extra long when I was pregnant with Cman. I guess because it was the first child and I was in Tennessee without our families.

Highlights for Week 15:

Baby Size: 4.0 inches (size of a navel orange)

Baby Weight: 2.5 oz

Big Developments: The legs are growing longer than the arms, and he or she can move all those tiny joints and limbs. (Still can't feel it yet)

Cravings: This week, I have wanted pears. Not just pears, pears with mayonaise and cheese. Ugh. Sounds nasty typing it, but it was good while it lasted.

Fun things this week: We went to a Captain's game in Shreveport, ate at Joe's Crab Shack and Cman and I went and saw Zookeeper at the movies.

Weight Gain: +1

Crawford is having a blast telling me how big my belly is getting. He likes to lift up my shirt and talk to the baby through the belly button. I can't wait until he feels the baby move on his side.

Guesses on Sex: Jason says boy, Crawford now WANTS a baby brother, mom says girl, and I keep changing my mind.

Next week we will be in College Station with Jason all week. Fun for us, but he will be in training. I expect to hit all of my favorite restraunts without having to up that weight gain too much next week. So far, so good with that. It is all belly right now and I hope to keep it that way.

14 WEEKS

We have reached week 14 in baby growing. And yes, the baby is definitely showing his or her self now. My tummy is officially a pregnant looking tummy. I can't believe how much faster it happened this time.

Pregnancy Highlights for week 14:

Baby size: 3.4 in (lemon)

Baby Weight: 1.5 oz

Developments this week: The baby is busy moving in my belly. (Can't feel it yet though). The baby is also sprouting some hair. (Crawford was bald, so we will see.)

Cravings this week: Oranges

Crawford is ready to find out what he is having. Come on August. (We will find out hopefully before we head to Alaska.) I am feeling much better and am starting to pull out some of my old maternity clothes because they are so much more comforatable to sit in.

Pics to come soon. Jason is gone this week to Wisconsin and it is hard to get Cman to take a flattering picture. LOL!!!

13 weeks

This week takes us into the second trimester. WOOHOO!!!!!! I am feeling much better, a little more energetic, craving fruits like crazy and definitely showing. I think baby Roesner number 2 is going to be a big one. They keep telling me it's because I had a c-section and this is the second one, but I think it's lots of baby. We had a Dr's appointment this week and could not find anyone to keep Crawford, so he got to go with us. Thankfully, Dr. Paul is all about family and didn't mind a bit that Crawford was with us. Crawford was really excited to hear the heartbeat of his baby whatever. He said it sounded like a puppy. Dr. Paul had to keep chasing the baby around because it kept moving, but he got a great, clear heartbeat. We will find out in August what gender this baby is.

Some highlights for week 13:
Baby's size: Peach (2.9 in)
Baby's weight: .81 oz
Big Development This Week: Motor skills, baby is able to move and flex the arms and legs. (Can't feel it yet!)

Tuesday, June 28, 2011

12 Weeks

We have reached the 3 month mark. Next Tuesday is our next appointment with Dr. Paul. We should then be setting up the ultrasound for gender reveal at that appointment. Jason and Cman are betting on a boy. I can't decide yet.

WEEK NUMBER 12

Baby Size: 2.1 in (size of a plum)
Baby Weight: .49 oz.
Weight Gain: none, even though belly is poking out
Most Dramatic Development this Week: Reflexes

Monday, June 20, 2011

11 Weeks

Okay, there is a blog that I follow and she is doing pregnancy stats every week, which is a pretty neat thing, so I guess I will follow trend and update my followers each week. I will try to get pictures soon, but right now I just look like a chubby girl, not a pregnant one.

So...here are our highlights for WEEK 11

Baby Size: 1.6 in. (The size of a lime)
Baby Weight:.25 oz.
Days to go: 203 (that's for 40 weeks, we won't make that)
Trimester: 1st (for one more week!!)
Cravings: Avacados and Soup
Weight Gain: -3 lbs. (Can't keep anything down)
Favorite Moment: Crawford giving me kisses on the belly

We go back to the Dr. in two weeks for another check-up where we will get the baby's heartrate. We will find out the gender at the end of July or beginning of August depending on the next appointment date.

Father's Day Weekend Fun 2011

For Father's Day Weekend 2011, we decided that we would spend the day in Shreveport. We had tickets to the Barnum and Bailey Zing Zang Zoom circus show in Shreveport so we decided to make a day of it. We started off the day at Joe's Crab Shack (yummy) and then spent some time on the boardwalk. It was crazy hot, but we still had fun. We went to the circus, which was great (well, if you don't ask Cman because he was mad that there were not any tigers). His favorite part was the motorcycles in the circle dome and the clowns. It was so neat to look over and see the look on his face with him laughing hysterically at the clowns. We ended our day out with a trip to the SBC Captains AA baseball game. Crawford smiled at the girl handing out the tickets and she gave us front row seats behind the plate. So, we really enjoyed the game. Jason said he had a great Father's Day 2011 with his growing little family. :)

10 weeks

Today marks 10 weeks of being pregnant with our "gummy bear." I am feeling a little better, but still sick in the afternoons. Last week, Jason and I went to the doctor for the first ultrasound and if I ever figure out how to get the darn picture on here, I will have it. We didnt have one that early with Cman, so it was neat to see the little blob and the heart flashing on the screen. Crawford said that there is no way that is a baby in that picture. I am going to keep weekly updates and try to take pictures so that you can see the progress of "gummy" and my huge, quick growing belly. Right now, I just look chubbier than usual, so I am ready to look pregnant. (Did I just say that?) Jason is crazy busy with work and Cman and I are kinda just hanging out for the summer waiting to do a few fun things with friends and family. We thought we had other summer obligations, but those didn't pan out, so now we are free. (God knows what is best for us!!) Today has consisted of playing with playdough, watching cartoons, making strawberry shortcakes and me watching him chase the dogs outside. I am loving every bit of it. Hope you all are having a wonderful summer.

Splash Day 2011-Trinity Episcopal Style

For Trinity's end of the year party, we had a splash day. It was wonderful. We had two huge water slides, a slip in slide, a bubble table, sno cones and the hit of the party as you can see...watershooters. Crawford loved the water shooters. Everytime I turned around, he was back over filling it up. He liked the slides, but had more fun with the beach balls and water shooters. It was a fun, wet day, but a perfect end to the year.

The Roesner's Family is a growing...

As most of you already know, we found out two weeks ago that we are expecting again. It is still early (7 weeks today), so please pray for us and the baby. We are excited and haven't blabbed to everyone because I was trying to make it to 12 weeks before the whole world knew, but since I only have 13 followers, I thought it a safe bet to put on here. :) I go to the doctor next week for labs then the week after that for our first sonogram. Prayers are welcome for this whole experience. (Thanks in advance!!!)

Our Goddaughter's Baptism

When we found out we were having another Godchild, we were so happy. Can you blame us? Look how stinking cute she is. I am so excited that we get to be a part of her and her big brother Dallas' life. They are so precious to us!! Her christening was Saturday and we headed to Magnolia (dog free for once) and had a good, quick trip. Miss Ava Christina Copeland is our goddaugther who got christened. She is a doll. It was a great trip and I can't wait to watch her grow in faith and love.

Hot enough to swim...

Can you pick out the hunk in these pictures...his name is Crawford and he is wearing the aviator shades. Mr. Cool or Hollywood is his new name. He finally go to enjoy some fun in the sun at my grandmas pool. He loved every minute of it because it was laid back and the big boys were playing with him. Hope everyone else is getting to enjoy some fun in the sun.

The Name Game

When we found out we were having a boy for sure, I knew that we had a Crawford coming. Well, I guess I was more interested in the name then counting the letters because 8 letters is alot for a kid to learn to write. (Bless his heart, his entire name Crawford Matthew Roesner, is 26 letters). He has been working really hard in school and Jason and I have been pulling our hair out because he kept stopping at C-r-a-w...well, he now has officially added the rest without stopping. For a while, he told us, please let me be Craw. It's too hard. Now, he is writing it everywhere. I am one proud mama.

Easter 2011

This Easter, we went to Van for Easter with my mom's family. We started out the weekend taking family pictures Saturday morning for my mom's fiftieth birthday. (Yep, she just turned 52, but hey, we finally got it!!) It was a feat in itself. I can't wait to see them. Brooks was not up for it after the 70th picture, so it got interesting. But, I know they are going to be great. Saturday night we went to my brother and sister in laws house for a get together for my moms, Ellie's and my brothers birthdays. We had food and homeade pina colada's. (YUMMY!!!) Sunday morning started off great with a church service with my parents, Jason and Cman. Daddy played that bass like it was going outta style. Then we went to an exciting Easter at my grandma's. (To say the least!!) What do you get when you have an ambulance, a funeral home van, and a state troopers car all in the same parking area??? Give up??? My family's easter. Grandma had chest pain and they had to take her to the hospital, the next door neighbor's granddaugther owns the funeral home in town, and my little cousins husband is a state trooper. Needless to say...phone calls a plenty were being made. Who needs the "Days of our Lives" when you have the Crow's? By the way, grandma is feeling better, it was just some inflammation. To top all of this off, we decided to go ahead and have the Easter egg hunt in the front yard because the kids were swimming in the back. While we were having the hunt, the same ambulance that took my grandma to the hospital drove back by. Don't ya know they were thinking real highly of us?? But, that being said, it was a great Easter. Some of the kids went white trash and hunted in their swimsuits, but I made Cman change back to his clothes. After all, I paid good money for those POLO shoes he wore all of thirty minutes. Hope you all had a great Easter.

Easter Party at Trinity

Today was our Easter Party at Trinity. I didn't get to take too many pictures because I was basically chasing him to get him to stop, but...he came up with lots of goodies and was cute while he did it. He loves his friends in his class as you can see. It was lots of fun and another perk of a private school.
