Tuesdays with Crawford #3

Cool Man has PopTart on his faceAsh Wednesday Cross

Let's see...Today, Tuesday with Crawford doesn't have to much to report. We have laid low the past week due to on again, off again cold-warm-cold-rain-wet-dry weather. And today, they are calling for more snow for us. Global Warming huh?!? Last week we attended Ash Wednesday services at our new church home-St. Joseph's Catholic Church here in Marshall. Crawford sat (for the most part) great through the service and then was so proud to show off his cross from Ash Wednesday. He was excited. Friday, Jason went to OK to re-qualify with his firearms and all went well there. Saturday was a beautiful day and we hung around the house and played baseball outside and of course made the Saturday trip to Wal-Mart. Sunday, we had a cookout at our house on our new smoker/grill and had the company of John, Kay, Caleb, and Josh and Mark, Sherry and Hadji, and of course Darrin. Jason cooked wonderful hamburgers. It was lots of fun and we are looking forward to many more cookouts at our home. Only a few pictures to share because I can't find my camera cord. When I find it, I will load more.

Tuesday's with Crawford #2

Our little Dallas CowboyHe is falling from being tackled by Suzee
Little Football-er

Yep, It's Tuesday again. So, time for another "Tuesday's with Crawford" post. This past week we had snow, as noted in the previous post. Crawford enjoyed 3 whole days off with mommy and daddy. We had lots of fun together just hanging out in the house enjoying toys and tv. Saturday morning, after the snow had melted away, we decided it was time for a big boy haircut again. So, off we went to get Crawford and Jason's hair cut. After a long wait, Crawford had talked himself out of the getting a haircut, but mommy and daddy made him anyway. It was sticking up everywhere and needed a good cut to get ready for flat top season. He sat still for the most part, and when she finished, he was happy. Next stop, bribary pay off. We headed to the store to get him a suprise. Well, we were going to head to Wal-Mart, but it was insanely packed, so we instead pulled into Hibbet Sports. I was thinking a football tee for him to practice his kicking on. We round the corner to the football section and "AAAHHHH" there it was....the little Dallas Cowboy uniform we have all been looking for, and on sale. So, now we have a little Cowboy. And this morning, he was wearing the pants when I went to wake him up. He really loves them.

Snow Days in East Texas

Thursday it started snowing early in the morning, but it was still to warm to stick. It snowed off and on all day and into the night. When we woke up Friday morning, it was an East Texas winter wonderland. (For East Texas, it was lots of snow). So, the schools were closed Friday which meant the daycare was closed, so Jason, Crawford and I had a family "snow" day. It was lots of fun. Crawford enjoyed playing until he got kind of wet and then he decided it wasn't fun anymore and we had to come in. Suzee loved it. I guess it reminded her of her life in Tennessee. We had lots of fun home together playing in the yard and in the house both. It was just crazy to see that much snow here in East Texas where it hardly ever snows.

Can you believe our first "Tuesday with Crawford" is a day late? No....never! Ha ha ha! Yep, we are a day late, but I went to bed last night at 8:30 sad because our little man decided he wanted to sleep in his big boy room in his big boy bed all by himself. Tear!!! So, here are some pics for our first post. This past week was the rest of getting Crawford's room in order, I have rearranged it thirty times, and it all keeps getting back to where it was before. We had the Super Bowl Party this past week at the Refuge, which was lots of fun, just chilly! The other pictures are from Crawford's favorite new hiding spot. Under the kitchen table. He loves to go get between the chairs and "play hide and seek" with me. He also is (cross your fingers) potty trained. He is doing great. And, he is sleeping in his big boy bed (bottom bunk) and loves it. So, now, good Lord willing I get a teaching job this year, it will be time to start working on baby Roesner number 2. So, thats it for Tuesday with Crawford number 1. Stay tuned for more, especially since the weather is suppose to be cold and snowy for us this week. Hope you are all doing great.

Tuesday's with Crawford

When I started this blog a year ago, Jason was out of town and I was basically doing it for him. Now, I am keeping it up because I love to show off our son and the many things we do from week to week. So, as of today, every week for sure I will have a blog on here. It may not be full of pictures, though I will try, but I will be keeping everyone updated on our doings and coming and goings. I am going to call it "Tuesday's with Crawford". So, every Tuesday I will be updating with a "Tuesdays with Crawford" blog. I will try my best to get pictures on here regularly also. This Tuesday momma is excited the sun is shining today and when Crawford gets home, we can bundle him up and let him play outside with Suzee. He is not an indoor fan at all when the sun is up. So, I will take pictures, add pictures, and have at least one blog a week for you all. Hope you are all great!!!

Mom and Dad at their First Mardi Gras in Jefferson!

All Beaded Up! This was the removal process of the hundreds of beads he had.Mrs. Sherry, "hey mister, gimme some beads!"

Please don't make me take them all off mommy!

First time on a carinval ride, he picked the "berry go round" with his daddy

Grumps and Crawford on the carousel

Yesterday, we enjoyed Mardi Gras in Jefferson, Texas. SO MUCH FUN! Last year, it was fun, but Jason had just left for his training, and I was sick and also sad that he was gone. This year, he got to spend it with us, along with my parents and Crawford. We started out early at the donut shop, then headed over to Jefferson so that we would have a decent parking space for when we were ready to leave. We met up with Mrs. Sherry and the rest of the crew and headed towards the madness. Even though it was really cold outside and there was not a ray of sunshine anywhere in sight, we had lots of fun. Lunch at the hamburger store, then kiddie rides, then the parade, it was fun. Crawford took his first carnival ride on the "berry go round" with his Jason. He loved it!! The parade was great, and Crawford got tons and tons of beads.

Sickness has left the house....we HOPE!

Well, no pictures lately you might say.....hmmmm....probably because we have all three been sick for a week straight and not camera worthy at all. Man, what a week we have had. Last Thursday night, Crawford climbed in bed with me and Jason because he was not feeling well. Much to my suprise, at about midnight, I hear a cough then feel a wet, nasty feeling down my shoulder. Yep, I had been puked upon. The most awful smell ever, and on our brand new sheets and comforter and pillows and floor and mattress and EVERYWHERE. So, we gave him pedialite, and new jammies, and headed to his room to sleep on his bed. Then repeat. Ugh, at this point, we were running out of places to sleep. So, Jason got in the recliner and held Cman, and I laid on the love seat. Then, repeat again. (Sensing a pattern yet?) So, finally (because I was not about to let him lay on our new sofa and love seat) we took the mattress off of his top bunk and he laid in the living room floor watching disney channel. Jason slept on the couch and I slept in the recliner. He got sick several more times through the night, so we decided to keep him home Friday. I went to work and Jason kept him. When I got home, Crawford was bouncing around like nothing had happened. So Saturday, we just hung around the house in our jammies and watched tv. Sunday, we were in the middle of the offering at church, and Jason elbowed me and said "we gotta go...NOW!" So, we headed home as quickly as possible, and the rest of the story goes alot like Crawford's did. Jason was down for the count. Sunday night, Crawford got a high fever and cough. UGH! Monday morning, I woke up puney and started the cycle all over again. Let's just say, our sewer system got a work out over the weekend. Jason, Crawford and I all stayed home Monday. Tuesday morning, Crawford was running 102.7 degree fever, so off to the doctor him and daddy went. The doctor said there were alot of viruses going around, not to panic, and let it run its course. Well, it had (through all three of us!!!) Now, after a thorough cloroxing of the entire household, I think I can say, we are all back to feeling better. So, I promise more pictures to come soon, since we actually look like human beings again and not zombies.
