Easter 2011

This Easter, we went to Van for Easter with my mom's family. We started out the weekend taking family pictures Saturday morning for my mom's fiftieth birthday. (Yep, she just turned 52, but hey, we finally got it!!) It was a feat in itself. I can't wait to see them. Brooks was not up for it after the 70th picture, so it got interesting. But, I know they are going to be great. Saturday night we went to my brother and sister in laws house for a get together for my moms, Ellie's and my brothers birthdays. We had food and homeade pina colada's. (YUMMY!!!) Sunday morning started off great with a church service with my parents, Jason and Cman. Daddy played that bass like it was going outta style. Then we went to an exciting Easter at my grandma's. (To say the least!!) What do you get when you have an ambulance, a funeral home van, and a state troopers car all in the same parking area??? Give up??? My family's easter. Grandma had chest pain and they had to take her to the hospital, the next door neighbor's granddaugther owns the funeral home in town, and my little cousins husband is a state trooper. Needless to say...phone calls a plenty were being made. Who needs the "Days of our Lives" when you have the Crow's? By the way, grandma is feeling better, it was just some inflammation. To top all of this off, we decided to go ahead and have the Easter egg hunt in the front yard because the kids were swimming in the back. While we were having the hunt, the same ambulance that took my grandma to the hospital drove back by. Don't ya know they were thinking real highly of us?? But, that being said, it was a great Easter. Some of the kids went white trash and hunted in their swimsuits, but I made Cman change back to his clothes. After all, I paid good money for those POLO shoes he wore all of thirty minutes. Hope you all had a great Easter.

Easter Party at Trinity

Today was our Easter Party at Trinity. I didn't get to take too many pictures because I was basically chasing him to get him to stop, but...he came up with lots of goodies and was cute while he did it. He loves his friends in his class as you can see. It was lots of fun and another perk of a private school.

My Monkey

Can we just say that he is one of the most photogenic kiddos ever? Of course, I am not partial. This is a picture from his Spring Show that Kirbie took and it is awesome and I though I would share it with ya'll. It really is a great one. Enjoy.

Summer Safety Expo

Crawford and Smokey the Bear

Crawford and the Blue Goose

Today was the Summer Safety Expo in Marshall. The Friends of Caddo Lake had a booth that Jason of course had to work, so we thought we would run up there for some quick pictures. Crawford won a fishing pole as a door prize and go to take his picture with Smokey the Bear and the National Wildlife Refuges Blue Goose. He was scared of Smokey until he realized it was Hunter. Then, he was okay. So, we got a little sun, safety ideas and fishing pole. It was a pretty successful morning.

Late Last Night

Trinity Preschool had it's Spring Show this week. It went off great. My little monkey and dog put on a great show. He performed great for the audience. Of course, we all know he is a little ham. Too funny! He was a monkey for several songs and a dog for some songs. They were in their pajamas and the theme was "Late Last Night" as if the kids were dreaming. The four year olds did nursery rhymes and the three year olds sang "My Dog Rags" and "Monkey Clap Your Hands" and some other monkey songs. The program was full of fun and lots of tears from kids crying when they saw their parents.

Been Gone...

Okay, so it has been a while since I have updated, but when I am chasing kids at school, then Cman, then the Big J, it is hard to keep up lately. So, I promise (Mrs. Sherry), I will have new pics and stories up soon. This weekend,we went to my parents for some R&R. Well, R&R turned into fishing with Asher and Cman. We ended up with about 40 perch all together and then decided to clean them and fry them. BEST MEAL EVER! On top of that, my brothers family gave Cman a Vandal baseball hat so his baseball outfit is now complete. Too bad he can't start until next year. I am glad we have another summer to not have to plan around ball games though. On another up side, only 6 more weeks of school and I have survived my first year. Woohoo! So, new updates and pictures coming soon. Promise!!! Until then, hope you are all having a wonderful start to your week.
