Hello to all! Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We did at our house. Thursday morning early, I got up to cook the turkey, and was a little scared, because when Jason and I got married, I tried it out and of course...it was terrible. Thankfully, this time, it all came out okay. My mother ordered the dressing from someone at the school (thanks mom!!) and I cooked the sweet potatoes, brocolli and rice casserole, and mashed potatoes. Grammy and Poppy (Liz and Walter) brought the ham and rolls and cookies and pumpkin roll. It all turned out wonderful, just way to many leftovers!!! Jason had to work all weekend, but we did get one major thing accomplished....we signed a contract on a house. WOOHOO! Jason's cousin Jeanette has been coming in from Houston to help us, so it has been a pretty smooth ride. Now we are in the option period where all that crud has to be done like inspections, appraisals, and surveys. Friday, Poppy and Crawford went fishing on the pier. No luck catching anything, but I think they both had fun. Saturday we got to ride the Graceful Ghost steamboat on Caddo Lake, which was great. Crawford kept thinking he was on a water ride choo choo train because of the whistle on the boat. He even got to drive. It was lots of fun. We did lots of visiting and got alot accomplished. It was the last full weekends of the hunts for Jason, so he should be slowing down a little bit.

This is at Presley Y's birthday party at Jumping Jack's. Garrett is beside him on the left side of the pic and Presley is the first girl beside him on the other side of the kid I dont know. The girl with the pink bow is Audrey Wilson, another friend of mine's daughter.

Crawford at Presley's party. Typical boy, only wanted to play basketball!!

Well, first I must apologize to those of you that actually read this regurarly. You see, I really didnt think too many people did, so I slacked off a little bit. Then I got in trouble for not updating enough. So...Here it goes. What have the Roesner's been up to lately???
Well...
The beginning of November also brought the beginning of hunting season, so you can imagine where and what Jason has been doing. He has been a busy man at the Refuge working what seems to us to be like 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We see him a small amount here and there, so needless to say, Crawford and I are ready for hunting season to come to a close. Sorry to all of you hunters out there! On the other hand, God has blessed him with a job he loves and he is getting to do what he has always wanted, so I guess we can make the sacrifice. Crawford and I have been here, there and everywhere it seems lately. The beginning of November also brought about Crawford's first non-family member birthday party...Miss Presley Brooke Yarbrough's. They went to Jumpin' Jacks, a full building of blow up houses and had a blast. It was fun watching him play with the girls and Garrett. Presley is my good friend Stephanie's daugther. We grew up together in all the same classes and in the small town of Van, were of course good friends. Veteran's day was a great treat. We got to spend it as a family. Jason, Crawford and I went to the park here in Marshall and spent lots of time enjoying the wonderful day together. This past weekend, Jason had to work, I had training for my alternative certification program, and Crawford went to visit with Lolly and Asher. They spent the day riding the mule and the power wheels four wheeler. Lolly said they only got into 2 or 3 fights. Ha ha ha! Then we had a suprise birthday party for my grandma Libby's 70th Bday party. It was fun! She was totally suprised. Can you believe we were all there except Erin K, who is in college in Kansas, Ethan who is in college at Blinn, and Colt was hunting. Jason and DeeDee's husband Derek were also missing, but other than that I think we were all there! We had fun, especially at picture time! The grandkids and great grandkids got her a beautiful one of a kind vintage bracelet from Italy. (Thanks Jewlea for getting that together!!) And thanks to my momma who got it all together! It was fun for the whole family. In the meantime, we have been approved for our house loan, now to find the house...and I am still looking for a teaching job, so please pray!! I will be loading the pictures tomorrow when I get back to work so you can all see!!

Lolly and the Little Fireman

This year for Halloween, we traveled to Van so that Crawford could enjoy trick or treating with his cousins. We met up at my brother's house and headed out on a hayride through the big city of Van (which is three turns and your out!), but it was great fun. We took off with The Barton's (my brother's best friend from HS and his family), the Hawkins (my brother's family), us, Lolly and then met with the Thompson kids (my cousin Jewlea's family). So, we had a full ride. First, we went to the Methodist Church for their carnival and then we headed to downtown Van for some trick or treating at the businesses. After that, we went around town on the hayride stopping here and there trick or treating. It was a very funfilled night. Ellie, Asher and Crawford along with little Peanut Brooks were enjoying getting their pictures taken.
