In front of our new house
Okay, so after a jam packed Christmas marathon, that is still not over, we got to sign on our house. Saturday night, I did the unthinkable (well, to me) and left Crawford for the first time ever with someone overnight. He stayed with my mom at her house and cousin Asher got to come over. I think it bothered me more than anyone. Mom was a little tired the next day, but other than that...it was good. Mom came up Sunday and we got busy on finishing packing old house for new house. Then, we watched the Cowboys game. Monday morning, we were up bright and early to head to sign on our new house. After an hour and a half of signing Kara JoAnn Roesner, I was glad to be done and had a new look on what we name our next child. (A very short name because when Cman buys his first house, he will not like us that day!) We then celebrated with lunch and headed to the next stop, our Christmas present (and mom's) to the Independence Bowl in Shreveport. It was really chilly, but loads of fun. Yes, even though the Ags lost, Jason was seen on TV! So, it was fun. We then left the game and spent the night on air mattresses in our new house. Mom helped us unload yesterday before heading to see daddy in Coushetta, LA and Jason, Crawford and I have been busy unloading and reloading everything else. So, if you need us....you know where to find us. Our new house! 909 Wildwood Terrace, Marshall, TX 75672....oh, and for those of you that expected Christmas cards, you will be receiving "we have moved" cards. Here are some pics of the Bowl game and the work in progress of moving into our new house.

I hope you all had a wonderfully Merry Christmas and have had time to spend with all your families. We have been busy bees in the Roesner family lately, with Christmas, The Independence Bowl, and signing on our house, its been crazy. So...this post will cover Christmas and Christmas Eve. Christmas Eve we headed over to the Hawkins (my brother's family) house and in the middle of lunch, it started snowing. My brother started jumping up and down going crazy, telling us to bundle up the kids....so we did and the first time we went out, it wasn't heavy enough, so we went back in. About 5 minutes later, we headed back outside all bundled for some pictures in the snow. Then it was on to opening gifts. Crawford got a chainsaw from Uncle JJ, Aunt Holly, Ellie, Asher and Brooks. He loves it. We had lots of fun and then it was time to head to church for the candlelight service. Our family (whole entire Crow family) lit the advent candles and Ellie got to read some passages. She really did a great job. Then on to Grandma Libby's house for some chili, tamales and lots of gift opening. Crawford got a Chuck truck that talks and rolls and follows him. It was so much fun. We then headed home to mom and dads for Christmas. Christmas morning we slept in and then got to open presents. Crawford got so many, he got tired and saved some for later. Mom and Dad got the grandkids a swingset at their house and the boys absolutely love it. (If it stays together, that is another story!) Hee Hee! Let's just say I am not sure what kind of engineering went on between Jason and Daddy, but I was glad to see Uncle Steve show up to help finish the project out. Mammy Jo, Papa Pete and Uncle Steve came over for some good cooking (thanks mom!!) and some more opening of presents. Crawford had a blast and still has some more to go. (We will see you soon Roesner's!!!) Here are some pics from the adventurous days!

Michelson Museum of Art Exhibit
The Blue Gooses seems like it has been a regular in several of my posts lately, here he is again at the art exhibit. Mr. Mark, Mrs. Sherry and the Cman at the Michelson Museum of Art.

Last week, we got to go to an art exhibit at the Michelson Museum of Art here in Marshall. This was a first for me and the Cman, I am not sure if Jason has been to one or not. The artist "J. Ding Darling" was a wildlife conservationist that had his art displayed. This was sponsored by the Caddo Lake NWR also. It was neat to see the art from a conservationist's point of view. Here are a few pics from the event.
Weekend at the Seaborn's

This past weekend, we went to visit our good friends, Justin and Kristin and their "girls" Gracie and Piper and of course Zorrie. (Gracie is their wonderfully loveable golden retriever and Piper is their equally as wonderful and loveable German Shephard. Zorrie is their not so fond of Crawford cat!) Crawford absolutely loves Gracie and Piper. This weekend though, he actually kept to saying that Piper is Mrs. Kristin's and Gracie is Justin's. Not sure where it came from, but hey...it's kinda true. Friday night we went out to Logan's (YUMMY!!!!!) and then headed back to the house to catch up. They gave Cman a Christmas present he didnt take off all weekend. It was a University of Tennessee football jersey. And yes Kristin, he wore it to daycare today! He thought it was awesome to be wearing it. He also, of course, looked like a little adorable man in it. Too cute. Saturday started off with great breakfast (thanks guys) and then we were off to shop. Well, we thought we were anyways. Let's just say we got in a wreck while we were parked by a vehicle noone was driving...(scratching your head yet?!?) It was craziness. After that, we did head out for some shopping, drinks, more food and more catching up. It was a great visit with great friends that we definetly have to see more often! Love you guys!!

Christmas Parade in Marshall
Crawford and his daddy in the "woo woo" truck
My Boys waiting on the parade to start
This past weekend we got to ride with Jason as he led the Christmas parade in Marshall with his sirens wailing on his truck and me juggling between playing "honking" sounds for the Blue Goose and Elvis' "Blue Christmas" over the loud speaker. It was cold and rainy, which is why we rode with Jason in his truck. It was something special for Jason getting to be in it. They had his truck all decorated with a Christmas tree in the back that had working lights. In front of us were two of the sweetest boy scouts ever carrying the sign for the grand marshall and behind us in the jeep was the grand marshall of the parade...The Blue Goose of the National Wildlife Refuge System. Wow, what an honor for them. Crawford thought this was all fun and enjoyed the ride from the back seat of his daddy's "woo woo truck" as he likes to call it.

For those of you that know Jason and I (I guess you do or you would not be reading this huh), you know that we have moved 4 times since we have been married (married for 5 and a half years). We have been from Tennessee to Apple Springs, TX...Apple Springs to Lufkin, TX...Lufkin to Karnack, TX...Karnack to another house in Karnack! Well, we have finally decided to end the cycle now that Jason is all trained up and hunting season is almost over. We have a pending contract on a house in Marshall. So...good Lord willing...the 28th of December, we will be owners of a new house. YAY! We are going to have to have it rewired so my family can sleep better at night, but still...it is going to be our house with our name on it! YAHOO! We are so excited about it. Jason and I have been looking for a while, and this house seems perfect for us. The inside has been totally remodeled, and the bathrooms are absolutely beautiful. Crawford has a great backyard to play in that he is calling a football field and of course Suzee will be extra excited to not have to stay in her pen all day. She can run also. So, keep you fingers crossed and say an extra prayer for us that all goes right and we will be signing after Christmas. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to us! These are a couple of pictures that we have. NOTE...this is not our furniture nor necessarily the final wall colors!
